Aloo matar is a day to day curry dish that has potatoes and peas cooked together in a spicy gravy.

INGREDIENTS
2 Potatoes cubed
1 cup Peas
2 onion chopped
1 inch Ginger
5-6 cloves garlic
3 Green chilies
2 Tomatoes pureed
1 tsp Ashok khamkar masala chilly Powder
1 1/2 tsp Kitchen king masala
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves to garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
Grind onion, ginger, garlic and green chilies to a fine paste. Keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin and as it starts spluttering, add onion paste. Saute till there is slight change in colour.add 1tsp Ashok khamkar masalas kitchen King masala, chilly Powder,Add tomato puree,Let it cook till it starts leaving oil.
Add peas and potatoes. Saute for couple of minutes till the peas become shiny.
Add water just to cover potatoes. Cover the pan and let it cook on low heat till the potatoes become soft.
Take off the flame and sprinkle 1/2 tsp masala.
Garnish with coriander and serve hot with chapati or paratha
